Comments about Stein World Lexington End Table:
Warning; They aren't the nice brown with red under tones... Top is reddish and they do look antique BUT: 90% of wood is near BLACK. BLACK. I ordered these just to match my other furn. Note: Bolt hole for one of the end table legs WAS NOT DRILLED. Staple was blocking another leg bolt hole. My husband took care of both problems. However, on all four pieces the bottom cross bar wood pieces have to be screwed into legs by YOU - screws line up so close to edge the leg splits! We used our own shorter screws to avoid coming through other side. This due to screw having to go into edge -and not the center of leg where it should line up. Also, damage to both end tables RIGHT IN FRONT - AT DRAWER! Right where its the most noticeble. Also, floor guard missing on one table leg - and no stain either. Also, sealer "glob/drip" right on front edge of one table. Bottom line: If they werent so hard to unpack (staped rope etc) and I didnt have to repack, pay $$$$ and wait for another set I would have sent them back. I buy furniture every 20 Yrs?? And it wasnt a good experience. NOTE: [@] wouldnt match $400 less price I got from (blank). I couldnt carry them up to house or I would have. Husband out of town that week. :^(
