Mindi hardwood solids and veneers, comparable to hardy American Oak, are made special with a lightly distressed Camden finish, a pebble mosaic marble marquetry tabletop inset, twisted metal accents along each side of the chest face, and a woven raffia drawer face. The chest is as useful as it is pretty, too: A pullout convenience tray at the top offers a place for light lunches and reading, a storage drawer on wood-on-wood guides slides out to catch pens and remotes, and an adjustable shelf behind the curved-face door holds magazines and books.
