It's recommended that Riverside furniture be cleaned with a damp, clean dust cloth. Any kind of surface or finish may be cleaned using this method. A mild detergent may be applied, if necessary, for areas that will not clean with just a cloth. Avoid the use of oil-based polishes and direct-spray polishes that can cause a waxy build-up.
Placing hot items, such as coffee mugs or dinner plates on a piece of furniture can soften the finish. Condensation from cold objects or liquid spills will cause the finish to "bubble" and leave a milky-white discoloration. Never use fingernail polish remover over a wood finish because if it makes contact with the finish it will eat through it much like a paint or varnish remover exposing the wood underneath and demanding that the surface be refinished to repair the damage. The damage described above can be eliminated by the use of coasters, trivets, and common sense.
Always use a protective pad beneath lamps or accessories, and on writing surfaces. Do not place rubber or vinyl products on the surface as discoloration and/or staining may occur as a result.

Wow - I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this product. The first table arrived with a damaged corner. The gentleman in Hayneedle's customer service center was very friendly and helpful and ordered a new one for us hassle free. However, the second table was barely held together. Screws were stripped and the wooden (screw?) blocks under the tabletop were broken. Since it took a month to receive the second table and it was apparent that Riverside makes poor quality end tables, I didn't have it in me to call for another one. After 2 + hours of working on it, my husband and father repaired the table. I have seen better quality in department store furniture for a fraction of the price. In addition, Home Direct Deliver, the delivery company used by Hayneedle,has horrible customer service!

The table looked very nice in the picture and just the right size for the space. I was very disappointed when it arrived in damaged condition. The wooden rail that holds the drawer was completely broken off. I was given a refund and sent a new table. This one arrived in even worse condition! The top of the table was broken in a number of places-completely not salvageable! The table was not terrible expensive and I did not expect it to be the highest quality but I did expect it would arrive undamaged. It was very poorly packaged and the box was all dented when it arrived. Had to get a refund.

I needed narrow end tables. These were perfect. Very easy to put together. Packing was good. They arrived promptly and in excellent condition.

Perfect size to hold a table lamp next to a couch. Drawer is not very deep but works to hold remotes, coasters, etc. Was easy to assemble (just needed to attach legs and lower shelf). Looks great - dark wood but not black in color. I am very pleased with the purchase.
