The legs come in two sets of two, and are assembled with the similar legs diagonally across from each other. Unfortunately, the feet inserts welded into the square leg bottoms of one set aren't flush with the bottom of the legs, so those two legs are about 1/16" taller than the others. These two longer legs being diagonal from each other cause the table to wobble if placed on a hard, level floor. I put mine on a fairly deep pile rug, so it worked out just fine.

Not what I expected
I assumed the black wrought iron was a solid black which is what I wanted. It has silver scratch marks all over, I suppose they call this distressed.

I did not read all the reviews and the description does not indicate that the tables in this collection are not a solid black. There is a significant amount of the silver base metal that shows through, and the "pattern" that appears looks like random brucsh strokes iwth significant variation. I ordered this table and one of the matching coktail tables. When I opened the first box, I assumed the paint job was defective, until I opened the second and it was the same.
But I liked the tables, and they were the size and style I needed so I got a couple canns of spray paint and painted them.
I also would agree with the another reviewer, that you should put the top on first or else if you do it llike the directions, the legs don't line up flush.

I have a very narrow space next to my couch and have been having great difficulty finding an end table that will fit and have shelving to hold items. This was the perfect fit! The black paint is VERY sketchy, but I knew this from other reviews and planned on painting the piece myself, but the "distressed" look works for me. Make sure to insert ALL screws before tightening any of them or the pieces will NOT line up.

Shipped very quickly, and is packed up very well, so you can be sure that the product will arrive in perfect condition.
Very simple, clean & smart design if you are the kind of person that appreciate those qualities.
Easy to assemble, you may need some help when you are just starting to put all the legs up, I assemble 2 tables my self in 1 hour.
Very happy with this purchase, I strongly recommend it!!

I like the table but it is distressed black. Also one of the legs was sodered crocked and I had to bend it to put the screws it. Not made well.
