Good thing your solution is right here - The Hampton Console Table Bookcase - Black/Oak - a Hayneedle exclusive that combines storage and style in one conveniently sized package. It has two shelves, which each feature three cubby compartments, so you'll have a total of six cubbies for books, DVDs, CDs, display items, and more. Each compartment has a cord/wire management hole in the back, so hooking up and moving electronics is so easy.


Constructed with a solid birch wood frame in a dramatic ebony black finish, this console table bookcase has strong, durable engineered wood (MDF) shelves and compartment dividers in a matching black finish. The genuine wood veneer top has a richly grained dark oak finish, and the look of the two finishes together gives the unit a cool, contemporary flair. The sides of the unit have a modern X design that adds an artistic element to the console table's sturdy structure. Recommendation is not to stack more than 2 units. Assembly required.

I bought 4 of these shelving units for my craft room. I stacked them & put them on either side of a wall with a table in the middle. I love how expensive they look & the clean lines. They were very easy to put together but weigh so much that I needed help stacking them. The only problem I had in putting them together was that the locking hardware on 2 occasions bored through the wood & caused a dimple on the shelf. I have managed to cover it up so no one knows but me & my brother, who helped me. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for style, affordability, roomy shelves & luxurious shelving for their home. It fits perfectly into my newly remodeled home & is my favorite piece. I am extremely pleased.

      a bit smelly but the airing out in the room does leave. solid construction a bit of work to assemble but gosh what a nice piece i bought four and stacked then two high for my library and books the black finish is nice and the ends are stylish. all in all I like at a fair price

          I needed some storage for my living room and these were the perfect fit. The construction is very good and the black is a true black and very smooth finish. I love the fact that this is real wood, not that MDF stuff most stuff is made of these days. The oak top is beautiful as well. Assembly was very easy; my 11 year old and myself put it together in about 1 hour. It is very sturdy and I like the fact that you can stack 2 of them together or leave them seperate. The price was very reasonable and I even have another one on order and can't wait to get it!

          Service and delivery comments:

          Delivery was very prompt and arrived in perfect condition. Customer service is very helpful and were very kind and curteous.
