Description

You won't see the Hampton Console Table Bookcase - Black in any of your friends' homes - unless you tell them you found it at Hayneedle. It's a Hayneedle exclusive, so you can be sure it's just as original as your decorating personality. Two long shelves each feature three cubby compartments, providing plenty of room for your books, DVDs, CDs, curios, and much more. Each compartment has a cord/wire management hole in the back, so hooking up and moving electronics is a snap.


Constructed with a solid birch wood frame in a dramatic ebony black finish, this console table bookcase has strong, engineered wood (MDF) shelves and compartment dividers in matching black finish. The genuine veneer top also has a black finish for a cohesive, contemporary look that will add richness to your decor. The sides of the unit have a modern X design that adds an eye-catching element to the console table's sturdy structure. Recommendation is not to stack more than 2 units. Assembly required.

I just totally redecorated my computer room and this piece was a great addition. I was looking for something that was stylish, black, and was high quality. I'm familiar with this brand because, I've bought two tv stands already so... I already knew what to expect when I got it. It was very easy to put together and is very sturdy. It is made out of REAL wood, not like that stuff you would buy from a department store. You know how you look at some black furniture and color look off... you're NOT going to get that with this piece. The color is truly black with a very smooth feel to it. There's nothing I can say wrong about this piece EXCELLENT!

Bought this to display comic book collection. Is solid wood with very nice finish looks much more expensive than it cost.Assembled by myself although they recommend 2 people. Took about 2 hours and this is a very solid piece of furniture and shows very well. One suggestion would be to include a touch up stick to match the color of wood. Packed extremely well arrived in perfect condition and delivery was very fast ordered on Thursday and received on Monday by Fed X.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Just assembled two of them for our new home. They went together easily and seem very sturdy. Buying over the internet I wasn't sure what I would get quality wise, but these seem very nice. i would definitely recommend to others. The first one took about an hour to assemble and the second went a lot faster (approx. 30 minutes). Overall, being a "value-shopper", I am extremely pleased with the item.

        Very nice looking unit, and went together well with instructions and illustrations that work. BIG negative was the poor packaging job. We had to go thru ordering a second unit because the base was damaged. Corrugated is too weak and flimsy for a 90+ pound carton. There were many holes and dents in both units, but the second one sustained no damage. Returning and double billing and credit is a hassle one does not need.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
