One center drawer, boasting dovetail joinery and a smooth wood-on-wood guide, slides easily open in the tabletop. It's flanked by two decorative false drawer fronts. The open compartment below is outfitted with an adjustable and a fixed shelf for stored or decorative items. The modern-traditional style makes a bold, warm statement; six finishes are available. Poplar hardwood solids and composite woods are accented with burnished metal hardware and bubbled feet. Notes on Riverside Construction
All Riverside domestic furniture is constructed of fine wood harvested from American forests, including oak, ash, poplar, and pine. These wood types are durable and feature beautiful, open grains that make them much preferred among furniture manufacturers. Each piece of wood is first graded for quality at the Riverside lumber plant, then kiln-dried to remove excess moisture and prevent splitting. The wood is then sent to one of Riverside's three manufacturing plants, all located in Fort Smith, Ark. At that point, it's constructed into a high-quality furniture piece using a combination of hardwood solids and hand-selected veneers. Techniques used on Riverside pieces include dovetail joinery, heavy-duty drawer roller guides, and multi-step finish applications that include hand-sanding and polishing for a deep, lustrous result. All Riverside furniture is given this high-quality treatment to ensure the beauty and durability of your final product.
