Disappointed in wood color (not oak)
I was disappointed to in color of wood. Shade was more like cherry wood than Oak. Set is much darker then Oak. Otherwise everything expected.

The table looks very nice at first glance. My husband moved it into the living room and bumped a corner slightly and it looks terrible. Poor quality, corner is flaking apart. When table is extended it is way too tall. I bought it for my kids to use for doing schoolwork, coloring etc.... I am 5'7 and it comes about 2 inches shy of my shoulders while sitting when popped up. I will have my hubby cut legs shorter and hopefully that will fix the problem. Good price but poor quality and poor design as far as the mechanism height. I don't expect this to last more than a year.

The saying "you get what you pay for" does not apply here! These are quality tables for the price-in my opinion. For one coffee table of this quality, a local store would sell it for the price I got all three! Simple, clean, and the right size for our needs. The lift top is an added bonus. I think the only con is if you have active kids who will place their feet on the table, the finish could be marred or easily scratched. Thanks, Hayneedle. We love the table, but it was damaged slightly in shipping. The box arrived with some damage. One corner of the table is marred and it looks like the wood is slightly split, it was probably dropped on that corner before it arrived.
Your company is supposed to be mailing us a repair kit.
